He will disappear after Lloyd talks to Colette at the mountaintop of Hima, before going to the tower of Salvation. The second time only happens if you’re on the Kratos ending (past the Derris Emblem trap scenes in Welgaia) and already defeated her before entering the Tower of Salvation after the Flanoir Scene. Coliseum Special GuestsEarliest Point: After you’ve visited Seles at the SE Abbey Cutoff Point: n/a Other Requirements: Eight characters are in the party, beat advanced Coliseum party mode Reward: Optional Boss, Mumbane, Star Cloak, Krona Symbol If you beat the Advanced Class party battles to obtain an Extreme Symbol, you’ll be given the chance to fight three characters from prior Tales games: Garr, Farah Oersted and Meredy. Being three tough opponents, many argue that this battle is tougher than Abyssion, myself included. You could also bring Kratos or Zelos. I brought Lloyd around for comboing. Anyways, to beat them, I’d say you should focus on taking down Meredy. I suggest having a beast-based attack to keep Farah away and keeping an eye on Garr since he often seems to like to pick on magic users. Now, go after Meredy, not only because she has less defense and HP, but also because she can revive her party members. When she’ll be down, one of the party members will revive her with a Life Bottle (They only have one, this strategy was meant to have them waste it), so go after her again. Whenever she’s been taken care of, I suggest taking care of Garr since he is a threat to your magic users and since he attacks from afar, he can also interrupt you when you are in the process on making combos. After he is dealt with, Farah should be much easier. So these guy drop great items such as the Mumbane and the Star Cloak… and… another… Krona Symbol… Anyways, this is a great challenge and don’t forget, you can actually use items in this battle. Many don’t know that since it’s a coliseum battle. Well after the Flanoir snow scene, go back to Meltokio caster and talk to the maid standing on the mid-level of the chamber right to the throne room. Talk to her and Colette should gain the ¨Maid¨ title and costume. Then you’ll learn that a dying man wants to see a Katz. Then go back to the item shop (still in Meltokio) and talk to the Katz there. Now, go to Sylvarant and head northwest from the Tower of Salvation (I use this as a point of guidance since it’s the center of the world). You should get to the Katz village. Go in and go up all the way to meet the elder. Talk to him and return to meltokio and speak with the old man in the slums. After this, Genis obtain the ¨Katz Katz Ktaz¨ title, which lets him look these abominations. (I hate Katz). Duel with Kuchinawa Earliest Point: After getting Zircon? After the Flanoir Scene? He’ll try to sell a boat to you, say yes and you’ll learn that you’ve been swindled. Now leave the town and enter again. Go back to the boat and speak to Aifread again. He’ll trick you again but you’ll get Lloyd’s pirate costume and title ¨Arggh me hearties¨. Aifread will ask Lloyd to look for a relic left behind by Spiritua. Now you’ll have to speak to these priests at the Houses of Salvation in this order: - House of Salvation near Asgard and Iselia. - House of Salvation near the destroyed Palmacosta. - Todha Island sightseeing boat docks, near the washtubs. The last priest should give you ¨Spiritua’s ring¨ Then, return to Hima and go near the grave. Speak to Aifread and give him ¨Lyla’s letter¨. He’ll give you ¨Aifread’s letter¨ and let you keep the ring. Go back to meet Lyla in Izoold and this sidequest will be over.
