Eighteen years after the adventures of Stahn and company, the legend of their travels has spread far and wide. Yet, their memory seems to fade as the populace begins to focus on a new center of attention. A new religious movement, led by a woman by the name of Elraine, seeks to revive the goddess Fortuna, and worship her as a sole deity.
In order to do this, she pleads the population to sacrifice all of their lens, a source of profit and power, for her good cause. Slowly but surely, the people are swayed by her, and she, along with the "Cult of Fortuna," begin to rise greatly in power.
Meanwhile, Kyle Dunamis, the son of adventurers Stahn and Rutee, lives in an orphanage run by his mother, where all of the children take the suranme "Dunamis." Kyle feels it is in his destiny to become a great adventurer like his parents. Unfortunately, the orphanage soon faces serious financial problems, so one day, Kyle and his "brother" Loni set out to search for a rumoured giant Lens that would bring in unprecedented amounts of money.
He eventually does find this giant Lens, which then proceeds to give birth to a beautiful, mysterious girl by the name of Reala. She claims she is searching for a hero, and sets off to find one. Kyle desperately wants to be the hero she is looking for, so he begins to follow her, where he and his friends soon become entangled in Elraine's wicked plans and must travel to the past to undo the wrongs put in place by Elraine.
